Where giving is directed
Contributions are channelled through the Order's national jurisdictions and voluntary organisations — registered charitable trusts and foundations in their respective countries. Donors can give:
- To a specific flagship project: Belfort Leprosy Village (Madagascar), St Louis French Hospital (Jerusalem), The Terrace of Saint Lazarus (Spain), Gandhiji Seva Niketan (India), or Saint Lazarus Hospital Godenu (Ghana).
- To the Hospitaller Fund — the Order's general fund for international hospitaller activity.
- To a specific national jurisdiction — see the full list.
How to give
The Order is in the process of opening a unified online donation channel. In the meantime, donations are processed by the relevant jurisdiction or voluntary organisation, with bank transfer being the preferred channel for institutional and major gifts.
To initiate a donation in Spain, or to discuss a corporate or foundation partnership, please write to donation@stlazarus.es with "Donation" in the subject line. For donations through a different national jurisdiction, see the jurisdictions page and we will route the inquiry.
Tax efficiency
Several of the Order's voluntary organisations are recognised as charitable organisations in their respective jurisdictions, making contributions eligible for tax relief under local rules — including the United Kingdom (St Lazarus Charitable Trust), the United States (American Association of Saint Lazarus, 501(c)(3)), Spain, Germany, and others. The Office will direct your gift through the channel that delivers the best tax treatment for your jurisdiction.
Corporate partnership
The Order welcomes corporate partnerships aligned with its hospitaller mission — particularly around Hansen's Disease care and hospice and elderly support. To explore a partnership, write to office@stlazarus.es or use the contact form.
